Team Lead, Technical Sales (Aalborg)

As our new Team Lead, Technical Sales, you will carry a vital role in a professional and experienced sales team. The sales team is divided up into Account Management, Tender Management and Technical Sales responsibilities and this role holds the overall technical responsibility, reporting directly to the VP Sales. In this role you will have the managerial and technical responsibility for offshore projects in the tender- and negotiation phases. You will engage in technical dialogues with clients and other relevant stakeholders working in parallel with commercial colleagues representing the company to the market.

Specifically, we are looking for an individual who wants a job focusing on having the managerial responsibility for the Technical Sales team, including resource planning, prioritisation, motivation, and administration of all employees in the team.

We build a green future together with someone who can:

  • Have the managerial responsibility for the Technical Sales team, currently consisting of 6 people.
  • Develop and motivate the technical sales team.
  • Ensure that technical and calculation risks are managed in the tender and negotiation phases of large offshore wind projects.
  • Participate in technical discussions with customers and internally, finding optimal product solution for the specific project and proactively participate in developing the offering for our customers.
  • Manage the technical interface to relevant internal departments and ensure quality of work done by the Technical Sales team.
  • Be responsible for assuring quality and accuracy of the cost calculations in the sales and negotiation phases.
  • Be the interface towards other international CS Wind companies and build technical synergies with other CS Wind entities.
  • Have the responsibility for adherence to internal sales processes on technical aspects.

Workplace will be our office in Aalborg. Some travel activities should be expected (approx. 20 – 40 days per year. 

As responsible for the Technical Sales team, we expect you to:

  • Have a relevant technical background at minimum bachelor level.
  • Have relevant technical experience
  • Have leadership experience, preferably +5 years.
  • Have understanding of the sales phase for complex infrastructure projects – experience engaging directly in customer dialogues will be an advantage.
  • Be able to discuss both in details and same time keep the needed overview.
  • Possess skills like structured, organizer, and not afraid to take responsibility.
  • Have an honest, open, and trustworthy personality.
  • Be a team player, problem solver, and a good motivator.
  • Be fluent (speaking, reading, writing) in the English language. Danish is not a prerequisite.
