Meet Hanne Bolander

There are some employees who are important focal points. Not least when big changes happen. One such is Hanne Bolander, who works as an Operations Assistant at Odense Port.

Hanne Bolander is one of several 'boomerang' employees who have returned to Bladt over the years. Hanne manages to create the good atmosphere around her, and it has been easy to get familiar with the work areas when you have had a similar function.

The tasks on Hanne's plate are many. She is responsible for supporting management, onboarding new colleagues and practicalities on the site. And, if you feel Hanne is a bit of a life saver, you are quite right – she also has a background as a lifeguard in a sports center. Convenient when you are close to the quayside 🦺

“It's great to be part of a start-up phase and shape your position and your tasks. The three years ‘away’ have been educational for me. To see how a company can also be – and learn more about safety and the green transition. For example, what can I do in my everyday life to ensure that the company here is a greener company? It starts with yourself, I think.”

For Hanne, it was also fun to see how you make the top (nacelle) of the wind turbine at Vestas, where we at Bladt make the foundations, the turbines stand on – and thus the bottom.

A background as an office assistant from University of Southern Denmark and customer and business consultant at TDC planted the seeds for Hanne's service-minded approach - this combined with her natural interest in the people around her. A well-liked colleague who is back at Bladt Industries after a 'trip' of three years at Vestas.

“I hadn't seen it coming that I was going back to Bladt. I had been involved from the very beginning at Lindø, in 2013. Then we closed down things here in 2018. There weren't enough orders. I got a good job at Vestas. It felt like I'd been traveling, and then I came back again - and hopefully they've been thinking this too.”
