Copenhagen Airport

We have tried many things, but today Bladt Industries’ project team at Copenhagen Airport carried out a rather extraordinary task. In connection with the expansion of Copenhagen Airport, where Bladt Industries fabricates, delivers and installs an extra floor to Finger C and a new building for the passport and security control, we were assigned to lift a 60 tonnes heavy DC-8 airplane about 150 metres away in order to clear a site where the new steel constructions for Finger C will be pre-assembled.
Senior Project Manager Alex Andersen tells: “I have tried a lot through the years – but I haven’t tried to lift an airplane before.”
