The foundation was fitted with the 3.6MW Siemens turbine using the SeaJack vessel, more than eight miles off the North Wales coast in Liverpool Bay.

In the middle of May, the first turbine was successfully installed on one of the 160 foundations Bladt Industries and EEW have fabricated for Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm. Bladt Industries have fabricated the foundations in cooperation with EEW who fabricated the monopiles while Bladt Industries fabricated the transition pieces.
