Jack-up vessel Innovation at quay at Bladt Industries

It was a special sight that met the employees at Bladt Industries this morning.

The jack-up vessel Innovation, which is summoned to pick up foundations for Westermost Rough Offshore Windfarm in the British part of the North Sea, called into Aalborg Harbour yesterday.

With a loading capacity of 8000 tonnes and a high performance 1500 tonnes crane, Innovation is one of the largest special vessels that have ever called into Aalborg Harbour. The jack-up vessel is commissioned due to the size of the foundations, which with a diameter of 6,5 meters are some of the largest that Bladt Industries has ever fabricated.

However, this will not be the only time that Innovation will come by Bladt Industries. The first visit will be followed up by another six before all 35 6MW wind turbines are ready for use in the North Sea.
