The Northwester 2 Offshore Substation will soon be leaving Aalborg in Denmark for its final destination, which is in the Belgium part of the North Sea.
In May 2018 Northwester NV signed a turnkey contract with Bladt for the delivery of the nearly 1,000 tons topside for the Northwester 2 Offshore Wind Farm. Now nearly 16 months after the signing of the contract, Bladt are ready to bring the topside to the site.
Northwester 2 is controlled and developed by Parkwind NV. The park will be installed about 46 km off the Belgian coast. The park will have a total installed capacity of 219 MW.
