Bladt Industries have just shipped of four out of in total seven sections for the Lepsøya Bridge from a workshop managed by Bladt in Poland for the final destination in Møre and Romsdal county municipality in Norway. The 805 meters long and 4100 tons Lepsøya Bridge will connect the island Lepsøya with the mainland.
The sections are planned to arrive at the final destination within a week and afterward the fitting will begin.
“We are working on a tight time schedule and expect the installation of all seven sections to last until the end of October 2020,” says Jens Præst, Senior Project Manager, Bladt Industries.
The bridge is part of the contract “Nordøyvegen K5 Skjeltene-Harøya project”, which Skanska Norway have sign a contract for with the local municipalities. The complete contract will link Skjeltene and the neighboring islands with mainland via dams, bridges and subsea tunnels.
