The Bladt journey continues – now with a new highly experienced Executive Committee in place

Over the past two and a half years Bladt Industries has been on a journey; From a supplier of complex steel constructions to both oil and gas and infrastructure projects, to being a pureplay renewable energy player focused solely on producing and delivering substations, transition pieces and foundations to the offshore wind industry. Most recently a new Executive Committee has been established to lead the efforts to progress further.

The offshore wind market is set to grow significantly over the coming years based on increasingly high ambitions and commitments from governments across the globe in an effort to combat climate change and to ensure energy independence. Our ongoing transformation will enable Bladt to truly leverage the opportunities of the market and increase our turnover as well as the number and scale of projects we safely and successfully deliver to our customer base.

To underpin the continued journey and ensure capturing of this growing market, focus is on constant improving of internal processes and ways of working to allow for scalability just as thinking serial-production across our entire internal value chain is key. In addition, the right organisational structure as well as the right people to lead the journey is also required and, in that respect, we have also been making changes. A new Executive Committee has been formed with senior profiles who all possess significant experience from leading roles in their respective fields within the energy and offshore wind industry.

As the latest addition to the new Executive Committee, we now announce the appointment of a new Chief Operating Officer, Flemming Ougaard, who will join Bladt as of 1 March 2023. Flemming joins the company from Vestas Wind Systems, where he, since 1999, has held a number of senior positions including Chief Operating Officer for Vestas Offshore and for MHI Vestas Offshore Wind and most recently Head of Construction for Vestas in Northern, Central and Eastern Europe.
