Gode Wind 1+2

Germany (608 MW)

Reference

In November 2013, Ørsted awarded Bladt Industries the contract for 97 offshore foundations for the
Gode Wind Offshore Wind Farms 1 and 2.

Fabrication of the transition pieces was started up in first quarter 2014, and already in December the same
year the first transition pieces were ready for load-out. All 97 transition pieces were finalised and ready for last round of installation in third quarter 2015. Fabrication of the transition pieces took place at our Aalborg
fabrication site in Denmark.

“The complete project has been a success. Timing is everything. Because of an excellent cooperation between DONG Energy, GeoSea and Bladt Industries, we managed to complete the last load out before originally scheduled.”

Klaus Munck Rasmussen, Senior Project Manager, Bladt Industries

Transition pieces
The 97 transition pieces are divided into two lots with 55 for Gode Wind 1and 2 for Gode Wind 2 wind farm.

All transition pieces have a diameter of 6 meters and a height of approximately 30 metres. Each transition piece weighs well over 500 tons.

“Everyone involved worked with the same goal in mind – to make a success – and we succeeded with this goal.”

Klaus Munck Rasmussen, Senior Project Manager, Bladt Industries

Gode Wind Offshore Wind Farm 1 and 2 is located in the German North Sea 45 km off the coast of Germany. The wind farms will be able to supply power corresponding to the annual electricity consumption of approximately 600,000 German households.
