Vattenfall and Bladt Industries have signed a contract for delivery of the transition pieces for the Danish Kriegers Flak Offshore Wind Farm.

Bladt will fabricate 72 transition pieces for the project, and the production is planned to begin in July 2019. Delivery of the last transition pieces is planned 12 months after production start. All 72 transition pieces will be fabricated at the facilities in Aalborg, Denmark.

The transition pieces will have a diameter of up to 6.4 metres, a length of 16 metres, and a weight of 160 tonnes. Kriegers Flak Offshore Wind Farm is owned and developed by Vattenfall AB. It will become the largest Danish Offshore Wind Farm, when it is up running in 2021, supplying electricity to 600,000 Danish households.
