Bladt Industries to Supply Vattenfall with Transition Pieces for the Kriegers Flak Offshore Wind Far

Vattenfall and Bladt Industries just signed the contract for delivery of the transition pieces for the Danish Kriegers Flak Offshore Wind Farm. Bladt will fabricate 72 transition pieces for the

Bladt will fabricate 72 transition pieces for the project, and the production is planned to start-up in July 2019. Delivery of the last transition pieces are planned 12 months after production start. All 72 transition pieces will be fabricated at the facilities in Aalborg, Denmark.

The order intake in 2018 has been very positive for Bladt within the offshore wind segment with the completion of contracts for; the Belgian Northwester 2, the Dutch Borssele 1&2, and now also the Danish Kriegers Flak, which all have been signed and sealed in 2018.

The transition pieces will have a diameter of up to 6.4 metres, a length of 16 metres, and a weight of 160 tonnes.

Kriegers Flak Offshore Wind Farm is owned and developed by Vattenfall AB. It will become the largest Danish Offshore Wind Farm, when it is up running in 2021, supplying electricity to 600,000 Danish households.
