First load-out of jackets for Wikinger Offshore Wind Farm

The first load-out of jackets for the Wikinger offshore wind farm is done and all went according to plan. The barge left our facilities at Lindø Industripark early this morning with Sassnitz in Germany as next stop.

The jacket foundations have a weight of approx. 650 tons and a footprint of 23 x 23 metres each. The jackets will be installed in water depths of up to 42 metres.

Bladt Industries have fabricated 41 four-legged jackets and 164 piles for the Wikinger Offshore Wind Farm which will consist of 70 wind turbines with a total capacity of 350 MW.
