The final loadout of Walney 4 transition pieces took place at Bladt Industries site in Aalborg Sunday 31 July and everything went according to plan. This was the last transition piece out of a total of 47 transitions pieces for the upcoming DONG Energy project - Walney Extension Offshore Wind Farm. (consisting of 40 TP´s for Walney 3 and 47 TP´s for Walney 4).
The project was initiated in the last quarter of 2015 as Bladt was awarded a contract by EEW Special Pipe Constructions GmbH.
The fabrication was started up in the second quarter of 2016.
The Walney Extension Offshore Wind Farm will have a capacity of 659 MW and will be situated 19 km off the British coast in the Irish Sea.

1st Upper 3D structure on place
The 1st Upper 3D structure stacking onto Lower 3D structure Bladt Industries has successfully completed the first stacking of the Upper 3D structure to the Lower 3D structure for Jacket 1 for the first out of 30 jacket foundations for the Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Ltd (BOWL) project.
